This month once again saw the celebration of Mandela day and as always the team at Vision opened their hearts in support of this great cause and initiative to inspire change. This year Vision decided to make Tygerberg Children’s Hospital the recipient of their Mandela day project with the focus being to direct the donations directly at the children themselves. Vision staff and management contributed to the purchase of ‘goody bags’ which included sweet treats, fruit juice and snacks for the children.

A group of staff members gave their 67 minutes of time by organising and putting together the ‘goody bags’. The party packs were then delivered to 4 wards at Tygerberg Childrens Hospital. In total 100 party packs were handed out by Vision staff and was said to be a truly humbling and touching experience. Vision supports a variety of charities throughout the year, with past projects including Haven Night shelter, Durbanville Childrens Home and local animal shelters. Just last month staff and management raised the incredible amount of nearly R15 000 in aid of the victims of the Knysna fires.
